Thanks to the huge funding obtained in 2018 from the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and the collaboration between the abbey, museum and dioceses cultural heritage office, it has been possible to start the restoring and cleaning of the crypt and the re-functionalization of some rooms of the adjacent Palazzo Abbaziale, intended to expand the spaces of the diocesan museum.

For this project, Dreamet created some decorated surfaces exposed at the ground floor of the building, therefore for the tourist reception, ticket office and bookshop. The decorations, made on stainless steel thanks to Dreamet’s cutting-edge technology, follow the taste of the Abbey and are inspired by typical medieval ecclesiastical frescoes.

It is precisely in the Abbey of Nonantola that past and future mix and merge, the fresco that changes and becomes technology, the decorative motifs that still have their roots in the fascinating Middle Ages and make us breathe a sacred air, out of time and space.
